Character Seal (Cypher Ring)
Learn how to seal your character into a Cypher Ring, transfer it through trade, and meet the requirements for unsealing.
On this page 6
Character Seal Scroll lets you turn your character into a Cypher Ring as it is and transfer it to another account through trade. This guide covers sealing, unsealing, and the requirements for transferring a character.
Obtaining Character Seal Scroll
Character Seal Scroll is a Power Up Store item available in the market's ONLY TL tab. You can trade it like other Power Up Store items.
Requirements before you begin
Check multi, offline, and Auto Mining
Before you begin, log out all characters logged in through multi and offline; otherwise, you cannot proceed. You cannot use CSS if Auto Mining is equipped or in your character's inventory. Remove the Auto Mining item.
- You can only unseal characters of your own race: Human for Human, Karus for Karus. You cannot apply a ring across Human and Karus.
- You need at least one empty character slot to unseal. You cannot unseal when your slots are full.
- Each player must enter their own item lock password to complete sealing or unsealing.
- You do not need to leave your clan. Your character is sealed together with their clan membership, if any, and the NP accumulated by the clan remains.
Steps to seal a character
- Open Character Seal / Cancel at the bank NPC [Inn Hostess].
- Select Seal to turn the character into a ring. If the character is already in ring form, use Unseal.
- Place Character Seal Scroll in the box.
- Log in to the character in the slot beside the character you want to seal, then select the character to transfer into the ring.
- Enter your item lock password and click Confirm.
- The selected character appears in your inventory as a Cypher Ring. Right-click the ring to view the character's inventory and details.

Transfer and unsealing
- Transfer the Cypher Ring to the recipient through trade. Items cannot be sent by mail (letter); the ring can only be transferred through trade.
- As the recipient, check that you meet the same-race requirement and have an empty character slot.
- Go to [Inn Hostess], use Unseal, and enter your own item lock password. You do not need another Character Seal Scroll; only the player sealing the character needs to buy one.
Sealing a character into a Cypher Ring frees a character slot. If all three character slots are full, sealing one character opens one slot.
What transfers with the character
| Content | Transfer status |
|---|---|
| Inventory, equipped items, and magic bag | Transfer with the ring. All items except Auto Mining can be transferred. |
| NP/EXP/Level and similar points | All NP points remain on the character with no loss. |
| Incomplete quests | Transfer to the recipient's account as incomplete. |
| Noah (coins) | Transfer with the character. |
| Clan | You do not need to leave; the NP accumulated by the clan remains. |
Trade safety and responsibility
Consider the character's history
Buying a reported character or one involved in rule-breaking can result in your account being closed. Make sure the person you trade with is trustworthy; buying such a character puts your own account at risk.
- Right-click the Cypher Ring to view the character's details.
- If you want your traded character back, you need to speak with the person you traded with. Character trades are treated like other item trades.
- Giving the Cypher Ring to the wrong person is entirely your responsibility. Make sure the person you trade with is trustworthy.
